Emilie DeFazio

Emilie DeFazio is a writer and editor from Sacramento, California. She graduated in May 2021 with her Master’s in English Composition and Rhetoric from Sacramento State University, specializing in professional writing, new media composition, and teaching instruction. She has two bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and Classical Studies from UC Davis in 2017 with a minor in film theory, which she then used in broadcast news and multimedia communications. In Spring of 2021, Emilie finished her master’s thesis project, titled “Show Yourself: Post-Technofeminist Habits of Being in YouTube Video Essays.” She has been published in the online magazine Screen Queens and UC Davis’ Prized Writing 2017 and has forthcoming fiction and non-fiction publications in TWENTY TWENTY: A Stories on Stage Anthology.
